Itinerary

Day 1: UK > Prague

Choose from a selection of ways to travel to Prague. Pick from one of up to 14 regional airports or travel direct from London, Manchester or Birmingham. Start your journey with a three night stay at one of our city centre hotels before being transferred to your Scenic-Space Ship in Nuremberg.

Day 2: Prague

This morning join your knowledgeable local guide on a fascinating walk through the city and view the famous Astronomical Clock. Afterwards you might wish to venture across the world-famous Charles Bridge. This incredibly beautiful structure was commissioned in 1357 by Charles IV after the Judith Bridge was destroyed by floods.

Day 3: Prague

Stroll this magnificent city at your leisure. Situated on the banks of the River Vltava in central Bohemia, the beautiful city of Prague is rich in history and home to some of the worlds most striking architectural wonders. Theres no need to plan ahead your Tour Director is on hand to take care of everything.

Day 4: Prague > Nuremberg

Today youll journey by coach to fascinating Nuremberg in Bavaria, which dates back to the 11th century. Your cruise begins here, and youll get to toast the occasion at this evenings welcome reception.

Day 5: Nuremberg

Freechoice: Choose to visit moving WWII sites or try something a little lighter the ‘Tastes of Nuremberg’, a tour of culinary delights that will help you discover a passion for local bratwurst, beer and gingerbread. We wont tell anyone if you loosen your belt a little.

Day 6: Regensburg

At the confluence of three rivers, Regensburg offers a rich tapestry of experiences, from its medieval Old Town to the Bavarian Forest on its border.

Freechoice: Join the group for an enjoyable walk around Regensburg or hop on a local ferry and sail the Danube Gorge to view historic Weltenburg Abbey, where you can sample beer from one of the oldest monastic breweries in the world. Alternatively, you could take a leisurely cycle on your own to the Walhalla monument with your Tailormade GPS device.

Day 7: Passau > Linz

Freechoice: Take an excursion to the medieval Czech town of Cesky Krumlov and discover its World Heritage-listed old city, or journey to Salzburg and explore the birthplace of Mozart, and the city backdrop for the film The Sound of Music.

Day 8: Melk > Drnstein

Freechoice: Be guided through Melks magnificent 18th century Benedictine Abbey. Alternatively, if youre feeling more active, embark on an enjoyable guided bike ride along the river from Melk to one of the most enchanting villages in the region, Drnstein at your own pace, of course.

Sundowners
As the day ends, youll get to take in the fine views of the breathtakingly beautiful Wachau Valley. Youll be in very fine company, and can expect a wonderful ending to a magnificent day. Of course, we can’t take all the credit for this one. Its nature who provides the view, were just bringing the drinks.

Day 9: Vienna

Today you have options galore.

Freechoice: Take a guided tour of Bratislava or Schnbrunn Palace, and witness the sheer opulence of the Habsburg Empire. Alternatively, visit the world-renowned Spanish Riding School and either tour the stables or see the famous Lipizzaner Stallions perfecting their skills during their morning exercise program. Or why not taste your way around the local market on our Shop with
a Chef tour with your on board chef.

Enrich
Breathe in the opulence and luxury of Palais Liechtenstein while enjoying a glass of fine Austrian Sekt. Then be enthralled by an enchanting private Viennese evening concert featuring the timeless music of Strauss and Mozart. Even in elegant Vienna, Palais Liechtenstein is one of the grandest of all venues.

Day 10: Budapest

We find ourselves in Budapest, one of Europes oldest and prettiest cities.

Freechoice: Make the most of a guided tour of this city including a piano concert, or relax and unwind at the Thermal Baths and Spa. Or you can choose to experience the labyrinths of the Hospital in the Rock, a relic of WWII and the 1956 uprising.

Day 11: Budapest > UK

After breakfast, transfer to Budapest airport for your return flight home. Travel direct to London, Manchester or Birmingham or one of up to 14 UK regional airports.
