Eurostar

Day 1

UK to Lucerne

Depart London St Pancras on the Eurostar to Paris where you’ll
connect for your journey to Lucerne via Basel. With its
picture-postcard location, framed by mountains on the edge of Lake
Lucerne; Lucerne has been popular with visitors for hundreds of
years.

The Alps

Day 2

Through the Alps to Italy

Today your magical journey continues as you leave Lucerne and
travel through the Swiss Alps, then pass through Milan and Verona
to Venice. Take a wander through the city’s maze of streets and
you’ll find magnificent landmarks at every turn, with highlights
including Saint Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace, the Torre
dell’Orologio and the Rialto Bridge.

Day 3

Beautiful Venice

Today, treat yourself to a ride on one of Venice’s iconic
gondolas to experience the city’s beautiful architecture. Or simply
take a stroll and see where you end up – whether it’s a quirky
shop, a pretty plaza, waterfront bar, or romantic bridge.

Day 4

The Islands of Venice

Spend your final full day in Venice with a lagoon tour to visit
the charming islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello. Murano is of
course famous for glassblowing, whilst Burano is renowned for its
vibrantly coloured houses and wonderful Venetian Lace. Meanwhile
Torcello has its ancient cathedral – founded in 639.

Lake Geneva

Day 5

Venice to Lake Geneva

Travel from Venice to Milan then onward through the Swiss Alps
to the shores of stunning Lake Geneva and the beautiful city of
Lausanne. Start with a boat trip or visit the city’s impressive
Gothic Cathedral before taking a stroll around the medieval
labyrinth of Lausanne’s Old Town. It’s well worth taking a stroll
to the Upper Town – home to the Cathedral of Lausanne.
Alternatively, for beautiful lakeside walks and quay-side flower
gardens – head to the port and resort area of Ouchy.

TGV

Day 6

Lausanne to UK

Your journey home begins as you leave Lausanne on the high speed
TGV service to Paris where you’ll connect to the Eurostar for the
journey back to London St Pancras.
