Day 1

Fly to Madrid where you’ll be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Check into your hotel. Tonight, meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers.

Madrid Segovia Ribera- Del Duero Burgos

Day 2

The first visit of the day is Segovia, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for its soaring, Romanera aqueduct, breathtaking fairytale fortress, and stunning setting. Travelling through the Castille and Leon region, we reach the Ribera del Duero area, which follows the course of the Douro River and is noted for producing some of Spains best wines. Get a taste at a Wine Cellar before continuing to Burgos with its landmark cathedral and legendary Castilian nobleman El Cid!

Coimbra- Fatima – Obidos – Lisbon

Day 3

Enjoy an orientation tour of Coimbra, strategically situated on a hill overlooking the Mondego River. Continue to Ftima to see the SANCTUARY, a famous pilgrimage site where the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children Francisco, Jacinth, and Luciaon May 13, 1917. On to Obidos, a fortified city still flanked by towers and bastions overlooking the countryside dotted with windmills. Overnight in Lisbon.

Day 4Henry the Navigator made Lisbon the 15th-century Mistress of the Seas. Youll see his monument, the Belem Tower, the Moorish Citadel, the impressive Black Horse Square, and other highlights on your guided city tour. Spend the afternoon at leisure in the Alfamas tile-decorated streets, or discover the Estoril Coast to Cascais and Sintra by joining our optional excursion

Lisbon – Seville, Spain

Day 5

Drive into the Alentejo through the countryside, famous for its production of cork. Cross the border at Vila Verde into Spain and journey into Andalusia, enjoying quite different scenery as you skirt the Sierra de Aracena before reaching delightful Seville.

Day 6Seville is one of Spains most colorful and vibrant cities. Enjoy an included sightseeing tour with all the main highlights, including the iconic Plaza de Espaa

Seville – Cordoba – Madrid

Day 7Travel to Cordoba, Spains most Moorish city with its Great Mosque, which is rightly known as one of Islams greatest pieces of architecture outside the Arab world. On through the very heart of La Mancha, famed for its castles and windmills, to Madrid. This evening, why not join the optional Madrid by Night excursion with dinner?

Day 8

Enjoy free time in Madrid, or join the rewarding optional trip to Toledo. The splendid setting of this old walled city above the Tagus was made famous in El Grecos paintingeven now, its like a great open-air museum of Spanish history and art. Later, join the included Madrid city sightseeing. As the capital of Spain and situated 2,180 feet above sea level, the Spaniards call Madrid the nearest thing to Heaven.
