Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Cape Town, South Africa

Welcome to Africa! Upon arrival, you’ll have time to settle into your hotel, available for mid-afternoon check-in.

Day 2: Cape Town

• Morning: Ascend Table Mountain via cable car for stunning views of Cape Town, Robben Island, and the Cape Winelands.
• Afternoon: Visit Boulders Beach to observe a colony of endangered African Penguins, followed by an exploration of Cape Point Nature Reserve, including stops at the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. Enjoy a funicular ride to the old lighthouse for panoramic views. The day concludes with a scenic drive along Chapmans Peak Drive.

Day 3: Cape Town

• Full Day at Leisure: Explore the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, take an optional excursion to the Cape Winelands for wine tasting, or perhaps go whale watching in Hermanus (June-October). Your Tour Director will provide suggestions to make the most of your day.

Day 4: Cape Town Hoedspruit Karongwe Private Game Reserve

• Morning: Fly to Hoedspruit and transfer to Karongwe Private Game Reserve, near Kruger National Park.
• Afternoon: After lunch, embark on your first game drive, searching for the “Big 5” and other wildlife. End the day with a sundowner in the bush before dinner at the lodge.
• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5: Karongwe Private Game Reserve

• Morning & Afternoon: Enjoy two game drives today, with opportunities to see a wide variety of wildlife including kudu, giraffe, hippo, cheetah, and spotted hyena. Between game drives, relax at the lodge, perhaps with a swim or a spa treatment.
• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6: Karongwe Private Game Reserve

• Morning: Another early start for a game drive, with the chance to spot big cats returning from a night of hunting.
• Afternoon: Enjoy leisure time before your final afternoon game drive, concluding with a sundowner drink in the bushveld.

Day 7: Karongwe Hoedspruit Johannesburg

• Morning: One last game drive before transferring to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg.
• Afternoon & Evening: The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore Johannesburg.

Day 8: Johannesburg

• Morning: Visit Soweto Township, home to Nobel Peace Prize winners Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela.
• Afternoon: Tour Mandela House and the Apartheid Museum, gaining insights into South Africas turbulent past and its journey towards democracy.
• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 9: Johannesburg

• Departure: Your vacation ends with breakfast this morning.
