Arrive Hobart

After making the overnight flight to Hobart, youll be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel for a two-night Special Stay, located by the citys pristine waterfront. As evening approaches, youll meet your Tour Director and fellow guests for a Taste of Tasmania welcome dinner at Restaurant Tasman. This is the perfect opportunity to sample the countrys signature cuisine before your Tasmanian adventure can really begin.

Delve into Tasmanias convict past with a visit to World Heritage-listed Port Arthur. Your guided tour includes a cruise to the Isle of the Dead, giving you a fascinating insight into the lives and deaths of some of Port Arthurs past residents, both convicts and free settlers.

Hobart > Strahan

Start your day with a visit to the lush rainforest of Mt Field National Park, Tasmanias oldest National Park, and the location of the spectacular three-tiered Russell Falls.

Travel to Queenstown before arriving in the picturesque village of Strahan, where you will enjoy an overnight stay.


Witness history in the making with your visit to the Wall in the Wilderness, a wood-carved history of the Central Tasmanian Highlands that is a continuous work in progress. Greg Duncan has hand-carved a series of scenes into panels commemorating those who have shaped the areas past and present.

Strahan > Cradle Mountain
Highlights:Gordon River Cruise

Cruise through the World Heritage-listed Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. From the luxury of the Captains Premier Upper Deck enjoy a gourmet lunch of local Tasmanian delicacies. Cruise through Macquarie Harbour and visit Heritage Landing and Sarah Island. This afternoon, take in the pristine alpine vistas of Cradle Mountain-Lake Saint Clair National Park,enjoy a Special Stay for the next two nights at Cradle Mountain.

Keep your fingers crossed for clear skies this morning to be treated to magnificent views of Cradle Mountain and breathtaking reflections on Dove Lake. Hear the stories from your local guide about the intrepid early settlers of this area.

Cradle Mountain > Smithton
Highlights:Whiskey Trail

Leave the mountains for the coastal towns of Burnie and Penguin. Visit Hellyers Road Distillery and take the whiskey walk, learning about how whisky is distilled and matured in Tasmania. Enjoy the rugged coastline on the way to the village of Stanley. Enjoy Tasmanian hospitality tonight as you stay overnight in Smithton.

Smithton > Launceston

Visit the town of Sheffield and discover its history, geography, wildlife and people from the murals that are painted on the walls across town. Upon arriving in the charming city of Launceston, visit Cataract Gorge and ride the chairlift to take in its beautiful scenic views. Enjoy two nights in Launceston.

Launceston > Freycinet National Park

Journey to the coast via Legerwood and discover unique tree carvings, a memorial to World War I.

Freycinet National Park > Hobart
Highlights:Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary

Stop in Richmond and see Australias oldest bridge, built by convict labour. During a visit to Bonorong National Park meet Tasmanias shy and elusive Tasmanian Devil, before arriving back at the your hotel in Hobart for two nights.


Visit the Tasmanian Wool Centre in the convict town of Ross. Your local guide will share stories of the towns history and the influence of its first export wool.

Toast your adventures during tonights farewell dinner at the Drunken Admiral Restaurant.


Choose from a range of Hobart attractions enjoy a cruise to Peppermint Bay or take a tour of Australias oldest brewery, the Cascade Brewery. Alternatively, tour the Huon Valley and walk amongst the fruit orchards or cruise on the MONA ferry and enjoy a tour of the daring Museum of Old and New Art.

After breakfast, youll be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
