Take in the capital’s most famous landmarks, cruise down the Seine and take in the romantic views the city has to offer by night, and then take in the beautiful ancient city of Reims, situated within France’s Champagne region.
Itinerary
Day 1
To Paris on the Eurostar
Taking the Eurostar you’ll be whisked directly from London St Pancras right to the heart of Paris. After checking in to your hotel the remainder of the day and evening is free for you to discover this enigmatic city. If it’s your first time in Paris, you won’t want to miss the city’s most famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower or the Arc de Triomphe. Alternatively enjoy a river cruise for a romantic and dramatic view of the city by night.
Day 2
Paris
With a full day in Paris, why not start by heading to the atmospheric and bohemian Montmartre district. Stroll along the cobbled streets heading uphill to the Sacr-Coeur – the majestic white Basilica that sits at the summit of Montmartre. As the highest point of the city, the views across Paris are truly breathtaking.
Day 3
Paris to Reims
After a final morning in Paris, you’ll take the TGV for the short journey to Reims. With a host of pretty boulevards, this ancient city is a lovely place to wander and relax. Situated within the Champagne region and home to many fine-dining restaurants, it’s also the perfect place to celebrate or treat yourself.
Day 4
Reims
Reims’ most famous landmark is the city’s cathedral – Notre-Dame de Reims. Noted as one of Europe’s most important Gothic buildings, the 13th century cathedral is today a UNESCO world heritage site. Take a guided tour or simply wander to discover beautiful stained glass windows, majestic sculptures and impressive architecture.
Day 5
Reims to London
Today you’ll depart Reims and travel the short journey back to Paris where you’ll connect to the Eurostar for your homeward journey to London.
