Itinerary

Day 1 Bergen – Steinsdalsfossen – Ulvik

After meeting in Bergen, well make our way to picturesque Ulvik – stopping off at the beautiful Steinsdalsfossen waterfall along the way. Then: its off to Syse Farm. After learning about the farms history and taking a look around the orchard and smokehouse (weather permitting), well be treated to a few samples of the delicious produce. Following a welcome dinner at the farm, well return to our hotel for the evening.

Day 2 Ulvik – Eidfjord – Ulvik

After soaking up the dramatic scenery of Eidfjord, well pass another scenic cascade: the Vringfossen waterfall. On our way back to Ulvik, well make a photo stop at the impressive Hardanger Bridge. And then? Well pay a visit to a local farm on the famous Cider Route this afternoon.

Day 3 Ulvik – Voss – Myrdal – Flam – Undredal – Fjaerland

Following this mornings breakfast, well make our way to Voss – and from here, well take the train to Myrdal. And after that? Another train journey awaits us as we hop aboard the famous Flm railway – to (you guessed it) Flm. This afternoon, well enjoy a cheese tasting and delicious lunch in Undredal before moving on to pretty Fjrland – the home of The Norwegian Book Town, a cluster of fascinating second-hand bookshops.

Day 4 Fjaerland – Loen

The award-winning Norwegian Glacier Museum is next – offering us a fascinating insight into the region, from the Ice Age to todays climate change challenges. Afterwards, its time to see some of the ice formations for ourselves with stops at the Supphellebreen, Byabreen and Kjenndal glaciers. Well warm up in Loen tonight.

Day 5 Loen – Geiranger – Hellesylt – Loen

Weather permitting, well start our day at Dalsnibba Summit: Europes highest fjord view. Later on this afternoon, well cruise to the middle of the Geirangerfjord to see the captivating Seven Sisters, Bridal Veil and Suitor waterfalls. By the end of the day, well have sensational photos to share and compare over dinner.

Day 6 Loen – Hoyanger

On the agenda today: a visit to Briksdal Glacier (with an included troll car ride), followed by a light lunch at a local farm. Then: its on to Sunnfjord Museum, an open-air museum depicting the daily life of the areas farmer and tenant families in the 19th century. After an insightful day, well press on to Hyanger.

Day 7 Hoyanger – Vik – Bergen

Well continue our journey with a stop at Vik this morning – where well see the richly decorated Hopperstad Stave Church and the distinctive Moahaugane burial mounds. After a stop at the Tvindefossen waterfall, well make tracks to Bergen – where well enjoy some traditional Norwegian cuisine and toast the final night of our adventure at a local restaurant.

Day 8 Bergen

After breakfast, theres still time for an in-depth walking and food tour of Bergen with a local guide. Then: our trip will come to a close in the afternoon.
