Day 1: Overnight Flight

Join us on the legendary waterways that define the true soul of Europe. Begin with an overnight flight to Europe.

Day 2: Budapest, Hungary – Tour Begins – Board Ship

Your tour opens in Budapest, Hungarys capital city. Board your ship for a relaxing 14-night river cruise. Your vessel offers the newest technology; panoramic deck; panorama salon and bar; excellent cuisine including unlimited wine and beer with dinners; and outstanding service. Meet your fellow travelers at a welcome cocktail reception. Later, enjoy an evening cruise to see Budapests stunning night skyline before enjoying a folklore show.

Day 3: Budapest

Embark on a tour of Budapest featuring its historic Buda Castle area, Fisherman’s Bastion and 500-year-old St. Matthias Church. Enjoy splendid views as you sail between the twin cities of Buda and Pest, nestled on opposing banks of the river.

Day 4: Bratislava, Slovakia – Vienna, Austria

Arrive in Slovakia’s remarkable capital, Bratislava. Discover the citys celebrated sites on a city tour highlighting its 13th-century castle, Old Town, St. Martin’s Cathedral, Michael’s Gate and the Archbishop’s palace. This evening, cruise to Austria’s beautiful capital city, Vienna.

Day 5: Vienna

Join a local expert exploring Vienna’s Imperial architecture, including the Hofburg Palace, the Vienna Opera House, the Ringstrasse and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore the city as you choose.

Day 6: Wachau Valley

Relax and enjoy the surrounding scenery as you cruise through the Wachau Valley, dotted with magnificent castles and small riverside towns. Cruise past Melk Abbey, a magnificent 900-year-old Benedictine Abbey and one of Europes largest Baroque monasteries.

Day 7: Linz – Passau, Germany

Arrive in stunning Linz, a favorite city of Mozart, who dedicated his Linz Symphony to this town. Take a stroll through the city with a local expert and discover its many treasures. Later, cruise to Passau, where the rivers Inn and Ilz join the Danube. Get acquainted with this beautiful city on a walking tour. Discover its gems including St. Stephan’s Cathedral and the world’s largest church organ.

Day 8: Regensburg – Kelheim

Today, arrive in magnificent Regensburg, one of Germany’s best-preserved medieval cities. A city walk features the old Town Hall, the 12th-century Stone Bridge, St. Peter’s Cathedral and the Porta Pretoria. Tonight, the ship enters the first stretch of the fascinating Main-Danube Canal as you make your way towards medieval Kelheim.

Day 9: Nuremberg

Depart on a guided tour of picturesque Nuremberg, Bavarias second largest city. You will be awed by 900-year-old ramparts, the Imperial Castle and the Justice Palace. Later, continue sailing and arrive at the impressive stair-step locks where you will ascend to the highest point of your cruise.

Day 10: Bamberg

Cruise through the final stretch of the Main-Danube Canal to Bamberg, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Disembark and enjoy a guided tour to discover the history of this medieval gem, founded in 902. Tonight, feel like a local at a typical Bavarian evening onboard the ship.

Day 11: Würzburg

Arrive in Wrzburg, the “Pearl of the Romantic Road.” Nearly destroyed during WW II, Wrzburg has been rebuilt into a beautiful Franconian town. Visit fascinating sights including the magnificent Prince-Bishops Residence, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue cruising through the pastoral Franconian wine region.

Day 12: Wertheim – Miltenberg

Today you disembark in Wertheim where you will get to know the city on a walking tour through its cobblestone streets lined with gabled, half-timbered houses, followed by a visit to the famous Wertheim Glass Museum. Next, continue to Miltenberg with time to explore the city including its enchanting market square before returning to the ship.

Day 13: Rüdesheim – Koblenz

Cruise along a beautiful stretch of the Rhine. Sail through the dramatic Rhine Gorge, dotted with hilltop castles. You will see the legendary Lorelei Rock before arriving in Rdesheim, a charming Rhine Valley wine town. The “Winzerexpress” mini-train takes you to Siegfrieds Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum for a guided tour. Explore the historic pedestrian street Drosselgasse on your own before returning to the ship. Later, cruise to Koblenz, at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. Enjoy an early evening walk of this charming town surrounded by vine-covered hills.

Day 14: Koblenz – Cologne

Cruise the scenic Rhine River to Cologne, one of Germany’s oldest cities. A guided tour through the old part of the city highlights the twin steepled, 13th-century Gothic cathedral. Tonight you are invited to attend the Captains Gala Dinner before departing for the Netherlands.

Day 15: Amsterdam, Netherlands

A local expert leads you on a leisurely paced tour of Amsterdam highlighting its 500 bridges, intricate canal system, charming churches and 16th-century homes. Later, glide along the canal on a cruise through the city center. Tonight, gather onboard with your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner followed by a typical Dutch folklore show.

Day 16: Amsterdam – Disembark Ship – Tour Ends
