Day 1 UK-SplitFly to Split, transfer to your ship and embark MV Aurora. Settle in and enjoy a welcome drink and dinner. Your ship remains moored in Split overnight. D Day 2 Split-Primosten and Krka National Park-ZadarSail to Primosten and continue to Krka National Park for an included half-day excursion. The Krka River cuts through the park and has created a spectacular series of cascades and caves or lakes where the limestone has collapsed. Youll see the amazing natural phenomenon of the Krka waterfalls, created by water seeping through highly porous limestone or ‘karst’. Then rejoin your ship and continue cruising along the coast to Zadar for an overnight mooring. B, L, D Day 3 Zadar-Kornati National Park-VodiceToday enjoy a scenic cruise through Kornati National Park, where more than 100 islands are divided by narrow channels and serene bays. Keep an eye out for Roman ruins and old fortresses that crown the hilltops, as well as the razor-sharp cliffs that plunge deep into the sea. Sail to Vodice for an overnight mooring and look forward to live entertainment on board this evening. B, L, D Day 4 Vodice-VisSail to the peaceful island of Vis where todays included half-day excursion reveals well-preserved remains of a Roman public bath. In the islands more recent history it was used as a military base by the Yugoslav Army and hides a network of tunnels beneath its beautiful exterior. Your ship remains moored here overnight. B, L, D Day 5 Vis-Blue Cave-HvarHop across the water to the tiny island of Bisevo for an included excursion into the magical Blue Cave, where reflections off the water paint an interior of iridescent blue. Continue cruising to Hvar for an afternoon of sightseeing on an included excursion. Known for its art, excellent beaches and fields of lavender, Hvar has been ruled in turn by the Romans, Byzantines, Venetians and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The island has caves that show signs of prehistoric habitation, whilst weather records consistently show Hvar as one of the sunniest places in Europe. B, L, D Day 6 Hvar-BracCruise across the crystal-clear water to Brac for an included tour that includes a wine tasting in the village of Nerezisce. In the afternoon you can take time out to explore independently, perhaps strolling the famous Golden Horn beach before returning to your ship for dinner this evening. B, L, D Day 7 Brac-SplitToday your ship sails to the mainland where youll enjoy an included half-day tour of Split, Croatias second-biggest city. In the old town youll see the impressive UNESCO-listed Roman ruins of Diocletians Palace. This white-stone Roman palace comprises 220 buildings, and today its arcades and arches are filled with shops, restaurants and houses. Return to the ship for the Captains farewell dinner. B, L, D Day 8 Split-UKTransfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. B |
