Itinerary

Day 1 Budapest – Holloko – Eger

After meeting the group in Budapest, well make our way to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hollko where well enjoy a performance by the Hollko Women’s Choir (while feasting on an authentic Hungarian lunch). Later this afternoon, well move on to beautiful Eger for a welcome dinner. Heres to a fantastic trip!

Day 2 Eger – Tokaj – Kosice – High Tatras

Today our road will carry us to Tokaj, where well have the opportunity to taste some of the regions world-famous sweet wines. This afternoon, well move on to the city of Koice in Slovakia. After a photo stop at Spi Castle, well set a course for our hotel in the heart of the magnificent High Tatras region.

Day 3 High Tatras

After breakfast its onwards to the mountain slopes, where well take in some marvellous views on a morning cable car ride. When were back on terra firma, well hit the road to a local farm where a homemade cheese tasting session and light lunch await us. Then: its back to the hotel for an evening of leisure time.

Day 4 High Tatras – Wieliscka – Krakow

First today, well visit Wieliczka Salt Mines. Dating back to the 13th century, these historic mines house enchanting chandelier-lit chambers and chapels, all carved from salt. After emerging back into the daylight, our final stop for the day will be Krakw: our home for the next two days.

Day 5 Krakow

Today well give Krakw our full attention on a guided city tour taking in the likes of Wawel Royal Castle and Cathedral. This evening, well be treated to a pierogi making class, where well learn how to cook classic Polish dumplings.

Day 6 Krakow – Auschwitz – Olomouc

Well take a guided tour of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp today a sobering reminder of the atrocities committed by the Nazis. After a moving visit, well move on to the Czech city of Olomouc where youll be free to spend the evening as you please.

Day 7 Olomouc – Brno – Trebon – Cesky Krumlov

This morning well continue our journey to Brno, the Czech Republics second largest city where our Tour Leader will show us the sights. And this afternoon? Well move on to charming Trebon a town thats home to a 17th-century chteau complex before we round off the day in the picturesque town of Cesk Krumlov.

Day 8 Cesky Krumlov

This morning well explore Cesk Krumlovs cobbled streets on a walking tour with a local guide taking in the vast Castle (and its spectacular interiors) as we go. This evening, well come together for our last hurrah a farewell dinner and beer tasting. What better way to toast the end of the tour?

Day 9 Cesky Krumlov – Pisek – Tabor -Prague

The last day of the tour will begin with a visit to Psek, where well see an old stone bridge that dates back to the 13th century. There will be just enough time for one more gourmet experience at the Chocolate and Marzipan Museum in Tbor before we move on to captivating Prague where well say our goodbyes this afternoon.
