Itinerary

Day 1 Boston – Portland, ME

After meeting the group amidst the hustle and bustle of Boston, we’ll set a course for the invigorating seaside town of Portland. Along the way, we’ll stop off at the quaint New Hampshire city of Portsmouth for our first dose of elegance, history and salty sea air. Tonight, we’ll get to know each other over an included dinner.

Day 2 Portland

Feel free to take things slowly weve a full day to wander cobblestone streets, explore beaches and get to the heart of this historic red-brick town. Later on, well board the mini-coach and set a course for the magnificent Casco Bay, which is home to dozens of islands, plenty of lobster boats and no fewer than seven lighthouses.

Day 3 Portland – Jackson

Today well move on to another scenic wonder: White Mountain National Forest, home to towering alpine peaks, mountain lakes and acres of evergreen trees. And what better way to take in your breathtaking surroundings than with a leisurely cruise on the iconic Lake Winnipesaukee? Tonight, dinner awaits us in Jackson.

Day 4 Jackson, NH

With a pretty covered bridge, a spectacular wooded backdrop and lots of welcoming inns and restaurants to choose from, Jackson could very well be described as the quintessential New England town. Not only that, but its the perfect base from which to explore the nearby White Mountain hiking trails.

Day 5 Jackson – Burlington, VT

All aboard the Mt Washington Cog Railway! On this breathtaking three-hour trip, well see the verdant landscapes of the National Forest from the best possible perspective as we carve our way to the top of the mountain on a charming steam locomotive. Then: onwards to Burlington, where theres a cooking class in store at the luxurious Essex resort.

Day 6 Burlington – Williamstown, MA

On our way to Williamstown and the scenic Purple Valley, well travel through the Green Mountain National Forest to picturesque Manchester a sleepy town filled with white church steeples, and tree-shaded walkways.

Day 7 Williamstown- Newport, RI

Visiting historic Stockbridge is rather like stepping back in time. We’ll spend a few hours soaking up the town’s sleepy atmosphere before making our way to Rhode Island. Filled with Colonial-era architecture, sparkling waters and boats as far as the eye can see, lovely Newport is our final destination of the day.

Day 8 Newport – Cape Cod, MA

Newport is famous for its seafood so its only right that todays lunch will take place at a local oyster farm. Our next stop will be charming Sandwich a town whose nickname is post tot naufracia portus, or after so many shipwrecks, a haven.

Day 9 Cape Cod

Another day, another delightful stretch of coastline to explore. Today well set our sights on Provincetown, a quirky village at Cape Cods tip that simply oozes character. Expect art galleries, boutiques and antiques shops in abundance not to mention fantastic beaches. Tonight, well toast the end of our trip with a farewell dinner.

Day 10 Cape Cod – Boston

One more breakfast, then its back to Boston we go with a stop at Plymouth, the site of the first Pilgrim settlement, along the way. What a week its been!
