Itinerary:

Day 1 London (Heathrow)/Hong Kong/Ho Chi Minh City - Depart early evening for the overnight flight to Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific and onward connection to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2 Ho Chi Minh City - Morning arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a day at leisure. Overnight: The Duxton or Grand (Bronze) or Sheraton (Gold) 2 nights. (B)

Day 3 Ho Chi Minh City - For an introduction to this cosmopolitan city, a full day tour including a morning visiti to the Cu Chi Tunnels, used by the Vietcong guerillas as living quarters, stores, hospitals and escape routes. This is followed by a visit to the former Presidential Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Saigon Post Office, Thien Hau Temple, Binh Tay Market and China Town. (B)

Day 4 Ho Chi Minh City/Hoi An - Take a 70 minute flight to Danang and onward by road to Hoi An. Overnight: Hoi An Hotel (Budget) or Life Resort (Gold) 2 nights. (B)

Day 5 Hoi An - A charming tour of this quaint town visiting merchants houses, a Hokkien temple, the Japanese Bridge, the colourful riverside market, lantern making and a sunset boat trip on Thu Bon river. (B)

Optional beach extension - The Furama Resort in Danang, Victoria Resort or the newly opened luxury Nam Hai hotel in Hoi An

Day 6 Hoi An/Danang/Hue - Drive via China Beach and Marble Mountain to Danang and see the Cham Museum, housing sculptures and artefacts. Drive onwards to the Imperial city of Hue. Overnight: Morin (Bronze) or La Residence (Gold) 2 nights. (B)

Day 7 Hue - Once the capital of Vietnam, a city of pagodas, temples and royal tombs; tour the ancient Royal Citadel and Forbidden Purple City built by successive Emperors from 1805, followed by a visit to the tombs of the great Vietnamese Emperor Tu Duc. (B)

Day 8 Hue/Hanoi - Fly 70 minutes to the Vietnamese capital. Optional evening trip by cyclo to the water puppetry theatre. Overnight: Sunway (Silver) or Sofitel Metropole (Gold) 2 nights. (B)

Day 9 Hanoi - Visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his former residence, One Pillar Pagoda, Fine Arts Museum, History Museum, Quan Thanh Pagoda, Temple of Literature, the Lake of the Restored Sword,West Lake and the Old Quarter. (B)

Day 10 Hanoi/Hong Kong/London (Heathrow) - Extend your stay? Or departure to Hong Kong with for the non-stop overnight flight with Cathay Pacific. (B)

Day 11 London (Heathrow) - Morning arrival.
